hi how do you fit a gear cable on a small frame vespa 100 1982

Clutch failure on 150 Sprint

i have just rebuilt the engine of my 150 sprint - the clutch is refusing to allow the drive wheel to run freely - it will however run freely backwards, if you engage 1st the bike will either stall or lurch forward - this is with the clutch in, i have double checked the clutch all all seems well with this just not sure if i have reasembled incorrectly - seems strange though that it will free wheel in reverse with 1st engaged but not forward

Replacing Smallframe Oil Seals.

There are three oil seals in a smallframe Vespa engine. One that seals the crank from the clutch chamber, one that seals the mainshaft at the flywheel and one that seals the rear axle at the hub. Whenever you rebuild the engine you should always renew the seals. It’s false economy not to, and when you take an engine apart you never know what state they will be in.The hub seal and the flywheel seal can actually both be replaced with the engine in the scooter as they can be accessed from the outside, but the clutch side seal can only be replaced with the engine split and the crank out of the scooter. When pressing a new seal into place it’s important to make sure it goes in the right way and to make sure it goes in evenly.

1.TOP HOLE MOUNTS TO SEAT PIN. (PICTURED)
2.TOP BRACKET FACES DOWN. (PICTURED)
3.THE 2 BOTTOM HOLES MOUNT TO LOWER NUMBER PLATE HOLES.
4.BOTTOM BRACKET FACES TOWARDS SIDE PANELS.

How To Install A Front Crash Bar

Step 1.

Remove the rubber insert from the floor channel as shown on the photo. Then drill a 5mm hole in one of the existing riverts.

Step 2.

Mount Crash Bar Bottom With Fixings that were supplied as part of the kit.

Step 3.

Lift the front bar Into place and then tighten the front arms so that they are even. That is it.
